2002 - A Year in Review!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! :-) We’re all fine and really looking forward to the holidays.  We’ll be spending a week at the beach next week and we just can’t wait!  Grant starts pre-school next year and Zoe will be in year 2.  Wow!  Zoe’s a real sweetie and is a very caring and sharing little girl.  Grant... well, he’s the joker in the family and a bit of a charmer. . . . wise beyond his years.  I’ll miss him terribly next year while he’s at preschool, though I plan on spending many days on roster there.  He’s currently sitting behind me while I write this, doing my hair for me!  

They both love Japanese anime, especially Miyazaki's Tottotro and both love the Tottoro plush toys that were given to them by Sadaoki (Spike's boss in Japan who gifted them the toys)  whom they both still talk about regularly.  Spike’s fit and well… riding to work 3 days a week is keeping him in great shape.  It looks like he will be taking Sabatical leave next year and maybe writing another textbook, so should be a good break for him from teaching.  I’m keeping fit walking daily and still playing tennis a couple of days a week.  With Grant at Preschool next year I may try and go an extra day ….. if I have the time. J  I also love spending time in Zoe’s class, being there with her and seeing her learn and grow, and helping out.  I hope to increase the hours I spend there next year too.  We both enjoy it and her teacher is always grateful for the help.

Well, that's been our year.  I look forward to many more happy and healthy one's together!
